DLC stands out for it's heavy and gloomy atmosphere. Story of ED-E is truly touching, two Couriers dispute over ethical and geopolitical implications of ongoing conflict between NCR and the legion brings new light to the events we all know from the Mojave and all of this is sinking in an overwhelming shadow of USA ruin.

Writing might not be as witty as the one in the base game or OWB, but it has it's moments. Writing might not be as witty as the one in Lonesome Road is the second best expansion to Fallout New Vegas (second only to Old World Blues). Lonesome Road is the second best expansion to Fallout New Vegas (second only to Old World Blues). TL DR: The Lonesome Road can be awesome and rewarding (not just loot-wise) if you give it a chance, accept the way it's narrated and don't treat Ulysses like a pseudo-intellectual hippie. The DLC considerably expands the F:NV story in beautiful and thought-provoking ways (I seriously mean it and I know the word sounds lame-ish Oh and I really didn't mind the linearity at all, because to me it was more about exploring the hauntingly cool place that is The Divide, than being able to go in any direction. This weekend, I decided to give LR another shot and this time I really listened to Ulysses (I think I somewhat finally get him), explored every location and it turned out to be almost as rewarding as playing the Old World Blues, just in a completely different way.

But then I realized I didn't really give it a chance and didn't really TRY to understand what the story was about. When I played it for the first time, I didn't really like it and most of the time, I had no idea what Ulysses was talking about. When I played it for the first time, I didn't really like it and most Lonesome Road is by no means a welcoming and hold-your-hand type of DLC.
